Thank you for your enquiry regarding the possible use of our services for X . I hope you will find the following and the enclosed brochure informative and that it will give you an idea of the services that Laser Hire can provide. We can also provide various corporate video's of past shows and events, which have assisted some of our previous customers, with their particular projects. We use many different types of control systems from different manufactures. In fact our expertise and impartiality towards the different types of control systems and laser systems available may be of use to you when looking at various projects.

Laser Hire specialise in many audio visual markets, so if you are unsure about any particular project, please contact us. We can provide initial information and estimations by telephone or fax. We do, however, recommend that you attend one of our monthly demonstrations.

Our next three regular monthly demonstration dates, at our production facilities in Birmingham, for 2000 are: March 7th/8th, April 4th/5th and May 9th/10th. An appointment can be arranged, around these dates, to suit your requirements. Please contact us if you are interested in a demonstration in order that a mutually convenient time can be arranged for yourself or with your client and/or colleague(s).

To be able to give you an accurate quotation and to assist you in the planning of your event for the future we strongly recommend that a site visit is arranged. These meetings can be very informative and have proved to be useful to all parties concerned. For these visits our time is 'free', but we do sometimes charge half of our expenses.

Some recent projects we have been involved with include: Edinburgh's Hogmanay Celebrations, Millennium Events, Lighting the London Eye, Belfast, Horsham and other Christmas light events and switch on's, Walsall Illuminations, U2 / Tina Turner videos, T.V. advertisements and , Coronation Street, Krypton Factor, store openings, Summer Concerts and events including the Glastonbury Festival and the Barmouth Regatta, major corporate events such as the Peugeot 206 launch and Drax Power Station re-opening, many other conferences, product and car launches to College Balls, Scout and Guide Jamborees, private parties and dance events.

Estimated Quotation: these offers can only be confirmed after a future site visit and /or production meeting, which I hope can be arranged for your particular project, if you wish to continue to look into the possibility of using our services.

Possible Options: we have previously used for similar types of events, assuming one day installation and one or more show / de-rig day(s), are :-

5)  A fibre optic delivery system, to split the two outputs from the above systems or to feed a separate output  +175.00 +270.00

There are many other options and packages available and I'm certain we can supply you the right mixture of services and equipment to meet your and/or your clients requirements. The prices above are negotiable.

For any event, costs vary depending on the nature and length of the required installation. Also the complexity and colour of the aerial effects and images can alter the system costs involved. Additional laser systems are discounted at -30%, this is due to reduced crew and transport costs. For extended performances, additional days are reduced by 50%, depending on installation variations.

Any costs quoted will include graphics and production work, travel to and from the site, cabling, water piping (up to 20 meters from the laser position), smoke machine, scaffolding towers for the lasers, operator, crew and other necessary accessories. Contacting the Health and Safety Officer concerned and the C.A.A. (if required), along with dealing with the H.S.(G)95 documentation will also be included. These and any other licensing conditions in relation to the installation and use of equipment hired or purchased form Laser Hire Ltd. are the ultimate responsibility of the licensee.

The quoted costs will not include power and water for the equipment, arranging the environmental conditions such as the ambient light level, accommodation and refreshments for crew, and on site security for the equipment. These will need to be provided for by yourselves.

Our trading terms are a 30-40% deposit, in advance, together with your official order, at least 4 weeks prior to the event or installation. Deposits are non-refundable, except where written notice of cancellation is received 3 weeks prior to the first operational day of any booking. Cancellation within this 3 week period or on when on-site, may result with further penalties if unavoidable costs have been incurred by Laser Hire Ltd.. Additional instalment payments for multiple operational day events or major projects, may also be required and the final payment on the last day / evening of the show / event. Late payments over 30 days will result in an automatic 4 % charge on the outstanding balance, this is repeated every 30 day period, thereafter, until the balance is cleared.

You may find it of interest to know that the Directors of Laser Hire Limited have recently been involved in writing a code of practice with the Institution of Lighting Engineers for the safe use of laser display equipment in public places which, of course, will be of great use for your proposed event and establishes a professional approach. Mr K. Flunder is also the Training officer of E.L.A. (The Entertainment Laser Association) and involved in three special effects training sub -committees for the Production Services Association (PSA). The objective is to produce a series of nationally recognised B-Tec awards for most areas involved in the technical entertainment industries.

Laser Hire have extended their services for 2000 and beyond by adding more laser production facilities for complete event production, specialising in themed and historical displays, along with new market lead R.& D. programs. Our new product development and maintenance services will support all our laser, lighting, research and development and cater for advanced training courses.
